Can I be terminated for complaining about my job?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

Whether or not you can be terminated for complaining about your job, depends on what specifically you complained about. If you’re just grumbling about ‘I don’t feel like working today,’ yeah, you can be terminated for that. If you raise legitimate, bonafide complaints about either: safety, workplace treatment, wages, hours, terms and conditions of your employment; you cannot be terminated in retaliation for raising those legitimate, good faith concerns.
