Does my employer have to accommodate my service animal?

In Florida there are certain federal and state laws which allow for individuals with a certain disability or handicap to have an accommodation in order to complete their specific responsibilities and duties in their employment with that disability. A service animal can suffice under the law as being a specific accommodation that your employer may have to provide to you to be able to complete the duties and responsibilities of your job. It’s a good idea if you have a question about your service animal, and whether or not you need a service animal, to discuss with human resources about what that accommodation might be so that you can complete the duties of your job. If you run into trouble with regard to that or have questions about that, you can talk with a labor and employment lawyer who can also explain your rights.
