How does the EEOC resolve discrimination charges?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

The EEOC is a federal agency, which is charged with investigating complaints of discrimination in the work place by employees. The EEOC process is typically a prerequisite for employees to go through before they bring a lawsuit in federal or state court with regard to discrimination cases. Therefore it’s important that if you do believe have been subject to discrimination in the work place as an employee that you take advantage of filing a charge of discrimination with the EEOC in a timely manner so that you can protect your rights under the law.
