How long do I have to be employed at a job in order to be eligible for unemployment benefits?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

The state of Florida awards unemployment benefits based on employees who’ve met what’s called the Base Period, and typically that’s between 4 and 5 months. There’s a certain income requirement that’s required as well. If you’re unsure the unemployment office will help you ferret that out after you’re application process is complete.
