Must a company give a reason for not hiring, reassigning, failing to promote, or firing me?

Transcript:

In the state of Florida we’re what’s a called an at will employment state. That means the company is not obligated to have any reason for treating an employee a certain way unless they’re being discriminated against. So an answer to the question no, an employer doers not have to give you a reason for why you’re being terminated, disciplined or not hired, but it’s a good idea if you’re the employer because you’re going to have a hard time defending against a discrimination claim unless you actually had a good faith reason.
